The demand-supply mismatch has impacted production schedules, customer orders, and consequently, company sales. From gamers to automobile manufacturers, everybody is vying for a piece of silicon. Chip manufacturers have been unable to cope with demand across the board around the globe. The demand for semiconductors has shot through the roof over the last year.
